The Mommy Blog Written by a Real Mom
I clicked on this link by accident (I was looking for images of babies and this came up). I then thought it was a link to those babies some people get in family studies classes (usually in high school to teach about caring for baby). it was not!

It’s a documentary about UK women who buy these fake babies, to fill some void in their lives, or to collect them. The creepiest thing is that they LOOK real! The artist Deborah King sells them on Ebay for around 400 GBP-which is called adopting the baby. If you would like to take a look at her gallery click here, it is quite amazing how real these little dolls are.
Once you get past the fact that it’s a little creepy, she’s very talented. These babies are amazing works of art, I just wonder if people are not buying them for other reasons. I’m sure not all of them are buying them to have one in their collection, getting attached to an item like this seems a little unhealthy if people treat this doll as a real baby. But I’m not here to judge, to each their own.
Erin Carrasco (Real Tech Mom) is a mom of a beautiful baby boy born in March. She also looks after her other two kids (Mia and Keely, her two cats) and her wonderful husband of four years. It has taken some time getting used to not being at home every day, but being a mom is a different type of job and I admire the moms who get to be with their kids every day!
Moms like me know that just because everyone says you should do it, or not do it does not make it set in stone. For us dinner is never the same time every night and because of my husband’s job, our lives are ruled by overtime, extra overtime, travel and the crack blackberry. I am not only a mom, I’m a woman and human being. Believe it or not I do enjoy a lot more than just being a mom! Some of my passions are a little geeky but still they’re me none the less.

I saw the promo for this show you’re talking about! They cover different topics every week. One of the recent ones was about women who are grandmothers in their thirties. Some even planned their teenage pregnancies because they didn’t want to be old (30!!) when they had a baby. It was interesting, disturbing and I couldn’t stop watching. I missed the fake babies episode, though.

Holy Freaking Hell. That is so so SO unnatural and sad. I can see how real the womens emotions are, but holy cow. It just doesnt seem right.
