Erin Carrasco (Real Tech Mom) is a mom of a beautiful baby boy born in March. She also looks after her other two kids (Mia and Keely, her two cats) and her wonderful husband of four years. It has taken some time getting used to not being at home every day, but being a mom is a different type of job and I admire the moms who get to be with their kids every day!
Moms like me know that just because everyone says you should do it, or not do it does not make it set in stone. For us dinner is never the same time every night and because of my husband’s job, our lives are ruled by overtime, extra overtime, travel and the crack blackberry. I am not only a mom, I’m a woman and human being. Believe it or not I do enjoy a lot more than just being a mom! Some of my passions are a little geeky but still they’re me none the less.

Wow, where do I start? I looove Christmas music! Here are some of my favorites, in no particular order (actually, they are in alphabetical order, since I’m going through my Christmas playlist in itunes):
- Baby It’s Cold Outside – but specifically the Leon Redbone/Zooey Deschenal version (Zooey is from the movie Elf)
- Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – U2
- Christmas Mean to Me – Hanson – the best version of this
- Happy Christmas (War is Over) – what you called So this is Christmas – I actually never used to like this song, but I love the Roch Voisine version – I love Roch Voisine actually, I’m a dork lol
- Happy Holidays by Andy Williams – just because it’s so silly
- Holly Jolly Christmas – Burl Ives – a classic
- I’m Dreaming of a White Christmas – the same version you put on there – I love Home Alone!
- Merry Christmas Baby – Eric Clapton & Sheryl Crowe
- Merry Christmas St. Nick – Beach Boys
- Please Come Home for Christmas – Jon Bon Jovi – how can you not love a Bon Jovi Christmas song??
- Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree – Home Alone again!
- Rudolf the Red-Nosed Reindeer – the Jack Johnson version is fantastic (that’s why Rudolf is spelled different, his version spells it this way in itunes)
- Run Rudolph Run – used to like the Chuck Berry version, but the Los Lonely Boys version is my new favorite (the whole Los Lonely Boys Christmas CD is awesome)
- Seven Joys of Mary – Great Big Sea – I’m from the East Coast, I have to love GBS – plus the sixth joy makes me laugh every time!
- Sleigh Ride – the Ronettes – ding a ling a ling a ding dong ding
- What are You Doing New Year’s Eve – Harry Connick Jr. – makes me thing of old cartoons for some reason
- What Child is This – California Guitar Trio – really nice, relaxing, instrumental version of this song
And for anyone else from the East Coast, of course… Sobey’s Festive Touch! When I was a kid, this commercial starting was what started off the Christmas season. Here’s a link:

Yes I love the whole home alone sound track, it all rocks I also love Harry Connick Jr. he rocks! I also love all of Josh groban’s songs! Oh and the classic Burt Ives Holly Jolly Christmas rocks! I’m a big fan of the Dean martin one of Baby it’s cold outside.. and hate the jessica simpson one LOL
