Thanks for posting this — loved it. All of my friends have kids, so I don’t have many issues about that… they all understand. It’s *family* without kids (hubby’s sister) we have issues with. They don’t understand and are considerably more vocal about “why aren’t you coming over to visit more often?” “why haven’t you seen Mom in so long?” We live in River Heights, they live in EK, and by the time we get there after school, we have to drive back in time to feed the kids and put them to bed at a decent hour.
LOL… sorry, it’s a rather sensitive spot.

I loved this article. I am lucky that I have friends with kids, but this summer when my childless friends come back home it could get interesting…
To be honest I sometimes catch myself wondering why I don’t have any free time, and then the morning comes and I am smacked across the face by day to day reality.

Thank you – I had not seen this. I have found it is also effective to take a vacation with the childless friends – who after 2 days into the trip said “wow, they take a lot of energy” and after 4 days decided to take a day trip away from us – LOL. They are good friends, and now completely understand the time constraints.
